LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
Rodney Robinson Landscape Architects, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated, creative person with four or more years of experience to work with other design professionals in our studio office environment. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate in all phases of the design process; from master planning through detail design and construction administration. Our practice is driven by a strong commitment to design and horticultural excellence combined with a solid understanding of materials and constructability.
We believe that a diversity of projects stimulates cross-fertilization of ideas and leads to more creative design solutions. To support this view, our practice includes high-end residential, public gardens, horticultural exhibits, children's gardens, public parks and historic landscape restoration. Most of our projects are in the eastern United States, from Virginia to Connecticut to Nantucket.
We offer an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a stimulating and challenging work environment. Salaries are competitive and benefits include health insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan with employer contributions.
The position requires strong design, graphic and communication skills, horticultural knowledge, working knowledge of site engineering and a demonstrated ability to see projects from conceptual design through construction.
Applicants must have a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture. Formal training in horticulture is an advantage. Proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is also required. We work in Microstation, which is very similar to AutoCad.
